Advanced Medical Life
Support
We are proud to announce the introduction
Advanced Medical Life Support as the newest educational offering
from the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians,
(NAEMT). Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) was developed
as a collaborative effort between NAEMT and the National Association
of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP).
AMLS is a 16 hour program that includes both
a didactic component and a comprehensive hands-on assessment review.
Topic areas that are covered include patient assessment, airway
management, respiratory emergencies, altered mental status, chest
pain, and abdominal pain. AMLS was developed to complement
both ACLS and PHTLS and follows the format of these programs closely.
