[ASHI Basic First Aid] Properly applied first aid can save lives, reduce recovery time and quite possibly mean the difference between temporary disability or lifelong disability for the victim. Program participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. Crucial information about how to deal with emergencies like shock, burns, strains, strokes and seizures is shared.

This program was reviewed by and meets the guidelines of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration and the Department of Transportation. It has also been accepted for training day care personnel and adult care staff in all states.

Advanced Medical Life Support

We are proud to announce the introduction Advanced Medical Life Support as the newest educational offering from the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, (NAEMT).  Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) was developed as a collaborative effort between NAEMT and the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP).

AMLS is a 16 hour program that includes both a didactic component and a comprehensive hands-on assessment review.  Topic areas that are covered include patient assessment, airway management, respiratory emergencies, altered mental status, chest pain, and abdominal pain.  AMLS was developed to complement both ACLS and PHTLS and follows the format of these programs closely.
