Paramedic Blomerth Promoted to Director
Delta Paramedic Jessica Blomerth has accepted the position of Director
of Education, and will responsible for the coordination and implementation
of all educational Emergency Medical Services programs company-wide
and in partnership with our communities.
She joined Delta Ambulance in 2004 as a per-diem EMT-Basic, became
a full-time employee while studying Paramedicine in 2006, graduated
as a Paramedic in December of 2006, was promoted to Field Training
Officer February 2010 and Field Supervisor in April 2010
She has been an Instructor/Coordinator for Kennebec Valley EMS for
the past 4 years, and was recently appointed Education Chairperson
for Kennebec Valley Emergency Medical Services Council; is also a
tutor for Kennebec Valley Community College Basic, Intermediate and
Paramedic EMT programs and serves on the Regional Critical Incident
Support team.
In addition, she works as an Aerospace Medical Technician for the
Maine Air National Guard, holds the rank of Senior Airman, received
Distinguished Graduate Award from USAF Aerospace Medical Course, recently
awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal for the 101st Medical Group.
She is also NCOIC (Non commissioned officer in charge) for the CPR
and the EMT programs at the 101st.
She resides in Fairfield with her two children.
