Delta Personnel Travel to Ireland
on
Emergency Medical Services Tour

Four Delta Ambulance Paramedics:
Tim & Kerry Pomerlow, Monica Minch, and Bill McKenna, along with their
Medical Director, Dr. Steve Diaz, MD, joined a troop of Maine EMTs and
Paramedics in a Emergency Medical Services Tour of Ireland, sponsored by
Kennebec Valley EMS Council, and Southern Maine EMS Council. They will
visit and work with EMS & Hospital personnel in Shannon, Dublin, Kerry,
and Belfast Northern Ireland, sharing skills and experiences. Several educational
sessions are planned by their Irish counterparts. Among the Dublin topics
are lifeboats and air rescue. Included in Belfast (NI) sessions are
EMS Responses to Terrorism.
Members of the group will also
have the opportunity of working Emergency Response along side the local
Paramedics, in hospitals and on ambulances.
Delta Ambulance operates from
Bases in Waterville and Augusta, serving local communities with Paramedic
Emergency care, routine and critical-care transfers, wheelchair van services,
