Delta Ambulance Advances to Gold Level Trek Sponsor

Augusta, October 18 - The American Lung Association of Maine is pleased to announce a continued partnership with Delta Ambulance of Waterville and Augusta, this year at the Gold Level of sponsorship.
Delta has volunteered their medical and safety services for 7 years at the Silver Level for the Lung Association’s Trek Across Maine-Sunday River to the Sea, scheduled for June 16-18, 2006. Delta’s Gold Level sponsorship is achieved through in-kind donation of $20,000+ in services essential to the Trek.

“The three day bicycle trek involves over 1600 people, from cyclists and volunteers to corporate sponsors. The Central Maine area is a major supporter of the Lung Association and the Trek. We are privileged to have Delta Ambulance as the official medical provider for the Trek”, said Edward Miller, CEO of the American Lung Association of Maine.

Timothy Beals, Executive Director of Delta Ambulance said “It is important for us to be
able to give back to the community that supports us. An excellent way is through the Trek Across Maine that benefits the Lung Association and all of the citizens of Maine. We look forward to volunteering our services to this event and to supporting such a good cause.”

Proceeds from the Trek Across Maine help the American Lung Association of Maine continue
their work to improve lung health in Maine, including programs to reduce suffering from asthma
and reduce the toll taken by tobacco use. For more Lung Association information visit www.mainelung.org.
